Beyond the ordinary

So we started Wicked Bee's in 2024 but didn't start promoting until 2025. We went out and got the kit we needed for honey extraction and a whole load of new hives and set up shop. What started as just a couple of hives full of bees quickly turned to over 25 by the time we went into winter 2025.

The start of 2026

The start of 2026 has been interesting with the weather. Unfortunately we have lost a couple of hives over the winter, this is has either been from the hive being too small going into winter and not managing to maintain themselves or we have has some queen failure from the older queens. We still currently have everyone on fondant as the weather is just being too unpredictable to swap the girls back onto sugar water. Over the warmer days we have seen plenty of evidence of the girls getting busy and out collecting pollen to re build their stores going into spring!
